Rivkah began bellydancing in 1996, and soon progressed to being a featured performer at many local restaurants, clubs, festivals, and ethnic community events. She taught bellydance, including folkloric styles of the Middle East and North Africa, at University of Texas Arlington from 2004 until 2011, and now teaches classes locally in Fort Worth at ZMoves Studio, and across the country in various workshops and seminars. A graduate of UTA with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree that focused on women and cultural expressions of self-identity, Rivkah has travelled to Turkey, France, England, Germany, Morocco, and Spain to further her investigation of the intersection of culture and dance. Since 2003 she has studied primarily with native Egyptian dance masters. She is a guest artist with the Texas Christian University dance department, and has choreographed and produced numerous stage shows.
